Operation Wildflower (OWF) is a
non-profit organisation with the aim to save flora from destruction as a result
of open-cast mining, land development and farming.
Collection consists of a
number of plant genera including orchids and is done under strict supervision
with the necessary permits.
The South African Orchid Council is a member of
Operation Wildflower.
This entitles SAOC members to participate in collections
organised by Operation Wildflower.
